The old immigrants were protestantand the new immigrants were catholic and Jewish. The old immigrants came fromEuropean countries like England, Germany, etc.
And the New immigrants peoplecame from different countries like Poland, Russia, etc. The reason why the old immigrants came was insearch of fair government. They moved to America for the development andprogress of Americas Economy. And also because of some social and culturereasons.
The new immigrants moved for several reasons. They came for jobs whichcould help them survive and their families. The old immigrants helped thedevelopment of America, they bought new ideas. Immigrants from Ireland boughtrails and roads and Immigrants from Germany bought knowledge of technology andeducations. The new immigrants bought new thing like different religion andcultures. Their culture bought social, music and art life in the Americas. Oldimmigrants got some feelings and native from the Natives. New immigrants facedsome issues because the old immigrants who feared that ethnic groups destroy America.
The New immigrants had to work so much and work an unsecured job and get paidless and very hard work. Later, the law was passed for the restriction ofimmigrants in the USA. So, the old immigrants were in the search of land andthe new immigrants were in search of economic opportunities. The immigrationwas a difficult process and the immigrants had to face issues when they came.The old immigrants had less issues than the new immigrants. Without both ofthese immigrants, America would never be too multicultural and social as it istoday. 4. The World War one covered theeconomic, political, and social impact on the United States.
The production andefficiency was increased during the war. US emerged as Industrial leader andthe economy was growing up, and also the profits lead to roaring twenties inthe American history. On the other side, the wages started going down and theworkers lay to keep down costs.
The workers protested and there was a massivestrike in 1919. World War I increased the technology and way of communications.The middle-class people lived well than before because of the good financial conditions. The World War II also had many impactson United States. The economy forced women to workplace and ended the greatdepression.
After the war, the American dollarwas powerful throughout the world. The society changed, women started going towork, many inventions, and the civil rights for women was issued. During thewar, US built camos for Japanese, the red scare began and did the hunts forcommunists and the arms race began. So, the Society, politics, economy andeverything changed and it was a permanent change.
And these changed people lifein United States. The Vietnam War changed United states in many ways. The rightto vote for 18 years old was granted. As the Vietnam war grow, America leadersand soldiers found with no victory in the sight. And also, the Vietnam warweakened the US economy, divided the people and destroyed America’s confidence. It also changed the views, attitudestowards their governments. The Vietnam war today is still known because itaffected the peoples very much within those years.
So, The World War I, WorldWar II, and the Vietnam war had some impacts on the united states in bothpositive and negative ways.
