It’s the police, they’re there to take Tom to the hospital where Karen had been taken. She had lost control of the vehicle while she was speeding through the worst part of town. Karen was scrapped up and she had lost her memory of everything that happened and why she was on that side of town in the first place because her and Tom hardly went on that side of town.
The police think Karen’s faking the memory loss, and that she was just up to no good. Karen returns home with Tom the following day determined that she will heal and move on from the accident and with her life. As Karen walks through her house she realizes something is missing, something is not right. Someone had been in her house. Police are asking questions, because they believe Karen was fleeing from the abandoned restaurant, but Karen also has no memory of what happened and her doctors said that this sorta thing can happen, but she might regain memory. The police suspect that Karen may have something to do with the man who was found dead at the restaurant. Karen’s husband Tom is outside one day when Brigid comes over and tells Tom that she had followed Karen over to the restaurant that night and she saw Karen shoot the man and heard three shots.
Brigid tells Tom she will keep what she had saw a secret if Tom would sleep with her. Tom begins to ask himself how well does he really know Karen. Tom knows Karen would never kill a man for no reason but what he doesn’t know is that the man was Karen’s ex husband. Karen is taken to jail, but while Karen is in jail she begins gaining back some of her memory, she remembers that she meant up with the man at the restaurant to settle some things but after they were done talking she left in a hurry so she would beat Tom home, but what Karen did know was who killed the man from the restaurant.
