College Vocabulary
Money being given to you for your studies.

 You usually do not need to pay scholarship monies back.

Peoople who have graduated from your school.
Similar to scholarships in that you don’t need to pay them back.
Magna Cum Laude
A Latin Phrase meaning “with great honor.”  Usually it means you had the second best grades.

Honors Sash
A band of cloth worn by graduating seniors indicating their high academic achievement.
Honors Cord
A special cord worn by graduates who have received an honor or an award.
The classes you take in college.
An occupation undertaken for a significant period of a person’s life.  An occuapation provides opportunities for progress.
A-G Requirements
Courses you must take in high school in order to be accepted into a University of California school like UC San Diego, UCLA, or UC Irvine.
Money your school (or a bank, or even a relative) is giving you, but that you must pay back at some point.
